Auction Preview - In Person
Welcome: As your arrive, an American Auction team member will greet you and give you a tour of the auction. You will be shown where to register for the event and directed to the property we are auctioning, plus you will receive a quick tutorial on how to bid at auction.
PREVIEW: There is a lot of auction property to view and inspect. As we do not test or indicate condition of product sold at American Auction Company, we hope you take advantage of the auction preview so you can personally inspect and try out items that catch your interest. There is one hour to inspect and preview prior to a live event, so be sure and take advantage of other scheduled auction preview days prior to an auction (typically one and two days prior to the auction). By doing this, you can take your time to touch and feel product and ensure that you make an educated buying decision. Remember, all items are sold “As is, Where is” with no guarantees or warranties of any kind. A small amount of due diligence on your part is the best method to guarantee you will be satisfied with your purchases.
Inspect Auction Property
Inspection can be the most important element in making a wise bidding decision. Auction product property is not tested and there are no refunds or exchanges. Bidders must rely on their own inspection, research and information to make sure the auction lot meets their requirements.
Upon inspecting the auction property, you’ll see two labels on each item or lot (a lot can be multiple items selling together). The first label has a large lot number and bar code indicating its order in the auction. This number corresponds to the lot number in your catalog.
The second label indicates the lot’s inventory control information. This information tracks the lot from its entry into the auction to its exit out the auction venue door. (We are actually using the lot number to track items exiting the facility.)
