How Our Auctions WorkOn auction day, auction property is presented in front of the crowd of bidders who are attending the auction in-person. Auction property is displayed on a large screen that shows a picture, description and lot number of each property being offered for auction. The auctioneer announces each piece of property, and the bidding opens. Online bidders participate in real time over the Internet, either by viewing a live video feed of the auction, or by simply entering their bids as bidding is advanced by other online bidders or live bidders who have their bids entered from the auction location by a clerk. Our auctioneers continue to advance the bidding in higher and higher increments as online bidders actively compete against the bidders at the auction location. Because everything sells to the highest bidder on auction day, bidders know they only have one chance to buy - and urgency is built in. When bidding has stopped, the auctioneer announces that the bidding has closed and declares the high bidder a winner by announcing their buyer number which is assigned to each bidder at the beginning of the auction. Live Simulcast auctions work and increase both online and live attendance. Bidders prefer to be able to inspect and preview property (something we handle for you) prior to the auction. Online bidders have more confidence in the property because they know that other bidders have viewed it in person.
FACT: Live auctions bring in the buyers, on-site and online.
