Real Estate auctions offer smart investments for the buyer. Properties are purchased at fair market value through competitive bidding; the buyer is committed to sell and you determine the purchase price you are willing to pay. There is none of the “offer and counter-offer” found in conventional real estate transactions; the day of the auction, you will either be the winning bidder or you will be out. You will need to register to bid for a real estate auction, which will often have larger deposit requirements to become a bidder from $10,000 to $100,000 in the form of a cashier’s check. If you are not the winning bidder at auction, your deposit is returned to you on auction day. You will receive comprehensive information on the property via due diligence packet and will have an opportunity to inspect the property.
